   RENEWABLE RESOURCES

Renewable resources are replenishable natural resources. Solar, water, wind, and biomass are all examples.
Our group focused on biomass. We plan on burning our homemade biomass briquettes.

The press uses organic material and presses it together making a cylinder of the material.

You leave it out to dry for around two days.

After it dries, you can use the biomass briquettes as kindling.

THIS IS A NATURAL RIVER BY THE THREAD IN LAGRANGE, GA. ALL THE ORGANIC MATTER IN THIS PICTURE ARE USED IN THE PRESS.

THIS PICTURE SHOWS A FIELD BY A CHURCH. LEAVES, PINE STRAW, AND GRASS ARE ALL GOOD COMPONENTS FOR THE PRESS.

THIS IS BIRD FECES ON A BENCH AT THE THREAD. ANIMAL FECES OF ALL SORTS CAN BE USED IN THE PRESS.

LEARN ABOUT US

We are Mrs. Cox's B Block Class at Gardner Newman Middle School.
Currently were taking part in the Lexus Eco Challenge.
For our project we are building a biomass briquette press.
We are trying to inform the people on the benefits of burning biomass briquettes instead of fossil fuels like coal.

We would like to give huge thanks to this video! This video taught us how to build our biomass briquette press.
